Hello there!

If you don’t know me yet I’m Bianca Board.

I've been a graphic designer for over a decade now and when I look back at my journey there's been a lot of ups and downs. A lot of fun and success, but a lot of setbacks and frustration too. That’s just the nature of being self-employed I guess!

But hey, I'd be the first to admit I'm not the best designer in the world, or the smartest businesswoman out there. But I've paid my dues.

I've grown from a one-woman show working in print to running a team of 20+ super smart web and marketing geeks and we’re now leading the way in awesome websites for Australian small businesses.

I’ve come a long way in 10 years. Am I grateful for the opportunities and experiences I've had, and even the mistakes I've made?  Yes!

Do I wish I could go back in time with all the knowledge I've learned?

If I knew then what I know now!

If I knew then what I know now, I could have gotten to where I am today in half the time, and with a lot less pain and frustration! I would have KILLED for someone to tell me everything what I know now.

Well, my friends, that's exactly why this blog exists...

Call it that last shred of perfectionism in me (last shred? Yeah right!) because I can't stand seeing us designers be what I call 'the working poor'. Not because we're stupid, or because creatives can’t do business, no it’s far simpler than that.

Design school isn't business school…

We aren't taught how to run a business, and that means we struggle financially when we shouldn't have to. We're working our butts off and paying everyone but ourselves.

We don't always see the forest for the trees, we chase our tails and no one ever teaches us how to do business the smart way.

No one teaches us how judge a profitable client from a non-profitable one, no one teaches us about upselling or how to work out project profit scenarios. And that needs to change!

…And it’s not web-business school either!

I want to help you succeed. Whether it’s just staying motivated to work that little bit smarter, or if you want to move into web, or, if you want to kick your web developer to the curb just like I did. I can help you.

I’d love to hear your story, so don’t be afraid to drop me a line, or leave a comment on my blog. I promise I’ll always reply!

Got something cool to share with my readers? Wanna guest blog for me? Here's what I'm looking for.

Wishing you the success you so deserve,
